They provide hands-on treatment, assist with therapeutic exercises, and support patients in their recovery process.Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical or vocational school with an Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE); six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administering physical therapy treatments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
