We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Physician (MD/DO) to join an elite team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in detox, inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health care for adults, and a strong desire to contribute to the well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat a variety of mental health and emotional disorders through observation, interviews, and psychological testing.
  • Identify potential mental health issues early, preventing interference with treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to support comprehensive treatment plans, incorporating psychological factors.
  • Integrate behavioral health services into primary care settings to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Advocate for improved access to mental health services and substance use disorder treatment.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with current FL licensure (or eligible for FL licensure).
  • DEA certification, experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment.
  • Experience in detox, behavioral health, and both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM.
  • some rotating weekends; on-call responsibilities split among 3 physicians.
