Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking qualified and dedicated Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to work as Hospitalists. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, providing care for patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and the adjacent 12-bed inpatient unit known as the AU. The Hospitalists will be integral in managing and coordinating the care of patients, particularly boarders awaiting bed assignments in the inpatient units.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• • Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients in the Emergency Department and the AU.
  • Manage the care of boarders, ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and coordination of admissions to inpatient units.

Collaboration:

• • Work closely with Emergency Medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Collaborate with the existing team of IM-trained Hospitalists during the transitional phase.

Transition to Emergency Medicine:

• • Successfully adapt to the transition from Medicine to Emergency Medicine, effective January 1, 2024.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational programs related to emergency medicine practices.

Teamwork:

• • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Incentive Programs:

• • The base salary for this position is $250,000 per annum, with additional incentives based on performance metrics and achievement of set goals.
