Physician Assistant - General Surgery - Per Diem - Nights - Cornell Campus Experience autonomy and camaraderie unique to our Physician Assistant team. Practice the art and science of evidence-based medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Lead the charge in improving the patient care experience. Join an action-oriented team at an Ivy League medical center, and go to the next level in your PA career. Manage a variety of post-operative patients from different surgical sub-specialties, including mainly breast and plastics surgery. In addition, you'll also help manage trauma, acute critical care, general surgery, surgical oncology, colorectal, endocrine and bariatric surgery.
Work Schedule: 12.5 hour NIGHT shift with flexibility to work day shift as needed. This per diem position is primarily for the general surgery inpatient floor service (NO operating or scrubbing opportunity) with the opportunity to cover SICU, Burn and Liver transplant services as needed.
Preferred Criteria - Background in Surgery
- Critical care experience
Required Criteria - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
- NYS licensure and NCCPA certification
- BLS/ACLS certification
- DEA certification
