A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team at one of their facilities in the Bronx.About the Opportunity
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Days rotating 7am to 5:30pm; 8am to 6:30pm
- Setting: Cardiology Arrhythmia EP Lab
Responsibilities:The Physician Assistant (PA) will:
- Perform exercise & tilt table testing
- Assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters & intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies
- Perform initial & follow-up history & physical exams on arrhythmia service outpatients & inpatients
- Perform bedside procedures related to arrhythmia evaluation (EKGs, carotid sinus massage)
- Participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a Cardiology role / setting
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
