The services provided may include diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic remediation, surgical assistance, and pharmaceutical prescriptions. This role requires experience in pain management, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work autonomously in managing your clinic. Reliability and professionalism are essential.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
- Contributes to a physician's efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues.
- Recommends options and courses of action for patient care.
- Implements physician directives.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations, including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory studies, and interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records with excellent typing skills for thorough and accurate documentation.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Instructs and counsels patients on medical and emotional concerns.
- Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying and enforcing adherence to regulations.
- Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Develops healthcare team staff by providing information and educational opportunities.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license to practice in the State of Florida.
- BLS and/or ACLS required in specific areas.
- For Nurse Practitioners: ANCC or AANP certification is required.
- For Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Pain management experience is required.
- Minimum one year of PA or APRN experience required.
SKILLS:
- Strong documentation and typing skills for accurate medical records.
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own clinic.
- Proven work experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
- Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy, and recovery.
- Familiarity with advancements in medical technology.
