We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.Schedule: Full-timeResponsibilities:Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, perform physical examinations, and formulate assessments and diagnoses. Initiate, review, and revise treatment plans, ensuring accurate documentation and presentation of data to the supervising physician.Medical Practice Support: Provide essential patient care services within the medical practice. Assist physicians during interventional treatments and manage incoming phone messages, including timely call backs to patients with responses to attending physicians.Referrals and Consultations: Make referrals to other healthcare providers when necessary and consult with physicians for further definitive therapy. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.Diagnostic Tests and Procedures: Order and evaluate appropriate non-invasive diagnostic tests and procedures, maintaining a commitment to evidence-based practice.Patient Education: Instruct and counsel patients on healthcare, health maintenance, medical problems, treatment plans, nutrition, and related issues, ensuring a patient-centered approach.System Coordination: Facilitate efficient patient movement through the healthcare system and optimizing resource utilization through interdepartmental collaboration.Audits and Research Involvement: Participate in audits and research initiatives within the healthcare setting, contributing valuable insights and helping to advance our understanding and practices in Cardiothoracic Surgical care.Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the healthcare team.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Physician Assistant: NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant. Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited school of Physician Assistants. Excellent communication skills.Nurse Practitioner: Current NYS RN license. Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a Nurse Practitioner course. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in adult health and/or family health nurse practitioner.Excellent communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a fast-paced medical practice.
