ROLE OVERVIEW

The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner role at The Lanby is uniquely at the intersection of patient care and hospitality. It is ideal for a candidate seeking an innovative care delivery role in a growing healthcare startup. As a key member of the care team, the Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner is critical to ensuring our members feel their health narrative is heard and well managed.

YOU WILL

As their patients primary point of contact, the Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with their patients and managing their care outside the 4 walls of The Lanby. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Triaging & responding to patient messages via centralized provider app.
  • Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, which may include prescribing medications, recommending supplements or ordering tests to confirm diagnoses.
  • Conducting physical exams, ongoing visits to check in on progress, and charting the findings in our EHR.
  • Developing personalized care plans in collaboration with the rest of the care team (Physician and Wellness Advisor).
  • Coordinating patient care for specialist referrals and imaging.
  • Managing clinical follow-ups to keep members on track with screenings and other clinical milestones.
  • Empowering patients by educating them on their health conditions and treatment options and providing guidance around next steps.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year(s) experience as a PA or NP in Family or Internal Medicine
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience or previous training in Integrative Medicine and/or Functional Medicine
  • Certified in NY
  • Willing to start part-time and transition to full-time in NYC (in-person and virtual)
