THE OPPORTUNITY: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Trauma SurgeryTHE LOCATION: Williamsport, Pennsylvania Ready for a change? We have an opening for an experienced physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our orthopaedic trauma team in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. You will be joining 2 orthopaedic trauma surgeons and 6 PAs and NPs at this busy Level II Trauma Center. THE DETAILS:A $30K commencement bonus is being offered for a 3 year commitment -MGMA competitive salary and benefit package -Annual incentive bonuses -Relocation assistance -Generous CME allowance and time off -Medical malpractice -Fourteen (14) -12 hour shifts per month -Rotating holiday coverage -Flexible scheduling options (ex: 7 on/7 off or block scheduling) -Variety of inpatient, outpatient and surgical first assist opportunities -Perform procedures (fracture reduction, splinting, skeletal traction pin, etc), inpatient rounding, preoperative assessment and planning, post-operative discharge planning, evaluation of ED trauma patients, evaluate and develop treatment plans for outpatient orthopedic trauma patients (surgical and nonoperative management), serve as first assist in OR. Collaborate with Podiatry and Plastic Surgery teams for management of ankle, foot, wrist and hand injuries THE QUALIFICATIONS: -Must be licensed (or eligible) as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania -At least 1 year of surgical NP or PA experience is required -Orthopedics, Acute Care Surgery or Orthopedic Trauma experience is desired, but not required THE EMPLOYER This health system consists of five hospitals and various medical office locations.
