This rapidly expanding Institute includes six acute care hospitals, including SVMC. The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute partnering with Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County brings together cardiac care specialists – increasing collaboration and care coordination – all under one roof. Our system of care includes a truly integrated team with the most talented, experienced, and compassionate caregivers and providers, backed by the latest cutting-edge technology.

Nurse Practitioner (APRN) / Physician Assistant - Electrophysiology Role Scope

· APRN/PA provides comprehensive care for adult cardiology patients in an outpatient setting and to support a busy Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology program

· Management of cardiac implantable devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders in an outpatient setting

· Evaluation of patients pre and post intervention including patient education, clinical evaluation, medication management in the office and message triage

· Cardiology background required and Electrophysiology background preferred. Experience providing comprehensive management of patients with arrhythmias, knowledge of anti-arrhythmic and anticoagulation drug therapy

Shift: Full Time –Exempt- 40 hours –Monday through Friday

Qualifications

Advanced Practitioner Requirements

· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's Program

· Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant (PA-C), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Adult Geriatric Primary Care (AGPCNP) in the state of Connecticut
