Location New York, New York Shift: Day Flex (United States of America) Description: Physician Assistants at NYP: A Growing, Autonomous Team Physician Assistant - Pediatric Surgery - Days - Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital Experience the heartbeat of excellence at New York's premier healthcare institution, where Physician Assistants play a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled care and compassion to our youngest patients and their families. Join a dynamic team of clinical professionals dedicated to raising standards and optimizing pediatric surgical care for a population with a case-mix index that is one of the highest in the nation. From admission to discharge, we manage patients through every phase of care, serving as the primary point of contact for management, guidance, and education for patients, families, and staff alike. Keep up with the excitement of a Level 1 trauma center at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and learn the latest advances in management of a complex surgical population. Enjoy tremendous autonomy and close collaboration with colleagues, department faculty and graduate medical staff to advance high quality care in this fulfilling non-operative role. Shift: Flex Day Shift- 3 x 12.5-hour shifts (rotating coverage Monday-Saturday) covering:
  • Floor management of primary service patients
  • Ped Surgery consult requests
  • Trauma pager & ED response for major/minor alerts.
  • Transfers from OSH or trauma
*Please note, this in a non-operative position that will not include OR opportunities. Preferred Criteria:
  • Pediatric experience
  • Surgery experience
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
  • Will consider strong new grads that have completed a pediatric subspecialty rotation
Required Criteria:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from ARC-PA accredited PA program
  • NCCPA Certification
  • NYS licensure
