Hartford HealthCares Thoracic Surgery team has an opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join a supportive team of PAs and physicians in their expanding thoracic surgery line in Connecticut.

This position is located at St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

The role of the surgical Physician Assistant includes:

Clinical and administrative duties.

Seeing outpatients in consultation, post operatively, and in follow up as well as rounding on inpatients.

Managing new patient referrals, the lung cancer screening program, and the development of the incidental lung nodule program.

Be the face of the practice and build relationships with patients as well as provider referral networks.

Assist top tier surgeons in the operating room.

Outpatient, inpatient, and operating room settings.

Monday through Friday schedule.

If you are a Certified Physician Assistant licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut, we would like to speak with you. Cancer related surgical experience is preferred.

About Hartford HealthCares Thoracic service:

Is equipped with the latest techniques for treating benign and malignant conditions of the lung, chest wall, and esophagus.

Offers minimally invasive techniques for lung cancer maximizing patient comfort and minimizes hospital stays.

Super-dimension navigational bronchoscopy using GPS technology.

Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) to sample lymph nodes in the center of the chest without the need for incisions. We are also committed to providing compassionate care for every stage of esophageal cancer.

Qualifications

Certified Physician Assistant licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut

Cancer related surgical experience is preferred.
