Summary: The Urology Inpatient Hospitalist Service is growing at WMCHealth in Valhalla, NY. We are seeking specialty trained Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our inpatient nocturnal urology team. In this position, the PAs will work alongside experienced physician and Advanced Practice Providers (APP) colleagues medically managing a variety of urological inpatients throughout the course of their hospital stay. Responsibilities: Performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse urological adult traumas and acute care surgical patients. Medically triaging and managing inpatient urological acute matters, as well as, standard pathway admissions Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team. Gaining a working competency of procedures inclusive of, but not limited to, cystoscopy, cystostomy, as well as, complicated CBI management Qualifications / Requirements: Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year clinical experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in urology or surgery/medicine subspecialty will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
