DescriptionFamily Medicine Physician, Edinburg, TexasNEW CLINIC OPENING JANUARY 2025!www.healthbydesign.com Medici Onsite & Health by Design is seeking a PART-TIME Family Medicine Physician to join our new practice opening in Edinburg, Texas starting January 2025! This clinic will provide care to a rewarding and unique patient population which includes healthcare workers and their families, all ages from newborns to adults! Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 12:00pm. No weekends, no call, no burnout! With 30 minute and 1 hour appointment times, our physicians have the time to genuinely care for patients, which means improved compliance, better care coordination, healthier patients, and happier providers! It also means more time for charting and the limited administrative duties throughout the day, with nothing to take home at night. Our clinics also provide plenty of provider support, with clinic staff consisting of Registered Nurses. Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited US School of Medicine; MD or DO
  • BC / BE
  • Current unrestricted Texas license
  • Current DEA Certificate
  • BLS

  • Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients in order to meet their needs
  • Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients
  • Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
  • Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
  • Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care
  • Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
  • Orders studies, test, and ancillary services
  • Documents all services in patient medical record in eCW
  • Reviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention
  • Consults with Physician Lead, Director of Medicine, and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and educational issues
  • Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by Health by Design
  • Assists as needed in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
  • Assists in the development, production, and presentation of medical education, material, lectures, and mixed media presentations for patient and medical staff
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations
  • May be assigned to multiple clinic sites as mutually agreed upon with CMO and Director of Medicine
  • May require on-call responsibilities
Education: Graduate of accredited US School of Medicine; MD or DO Experience: Minimum of two years of direct work experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Current license to practice in state of clinic location
  • Board Certification / Board Eligible (Family Medicine)
  • Current DEA Certificate
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Physical Requirements:
