They are responsible for initiating resuscitation and stabilisation of patients as well as commencing investigations and interventions to diagnose and treat illnesses, whilst working as a multi-disciplined team. Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience and licenced to practice in area of work
- MD/DO Board certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- BCLS and ACLS Certificate
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out evaluation of patients that are brought in for evaluation
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Perform medical examinations to establish health status baseline.
- Examine and diagnose patients for illness and injury.
- Order, perform, interpret test results and analyze records and reports.
- Ability to provide follow-up care for patients as needed.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient health information.
- Ensures that all medical records are accurately maintained.
- Referral recommendations for patients to medical specialists when required.
- Coordinate healthcare plan
- Provision of clinical reporting into International SOS Facility Medical Director
- Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
- Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Facility Medical Director
- Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover.
