Job Description:
Responsible for the care of patient at all clinical sites and programs as assigned by their supervisor. Responsible for ensuring the care of their patients meets, the organizations productivity goals, quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training needs, and research initiatives.A.Clinical Responsibilities:Maintaining an active medical practice of TBD clinical sessions weeklyDemonstrates competency in following areas:Medical Knowledge:Demonstrates good fundamental knowledge of established clinical practice and use of Evidence Based MedicineDemonstrates sound clinical judgmentDemonstrated appropriate use of consultsKeeps current with the medical literatureClinical Practice:Provides compassionate, appropriate and effective patient careAvailable to patients and staffMaintains good quality medical recordsDemonstrates good clinical/technical skillsInterpersonal and Communication Skills:Establishes and maintains professional, courteous, and respectful relationships with patients, families, colleagues and other members of the health care teamDemonstrates an understanding and sensitivity to diversity and a responsible attitude towards his/her patients, profession and society.Professionalism:Demonstrates to continuous professional development (CME), and ethical practice.Fulfils CME requirement (50 hours CME/2 year)Timely Medical Record CompletionCompliance with open encounter policyTimely response to MyChart (patient portal) requestsCompliance with IFH Policy and RegulationsAttends clinical site and program meetings as requiredAssists with sites peer review processParticipates in sites CQI endeavors/projectsSystems-Based Practice:Demonstrates an understanding of health care systems and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve and optimize health care.Advocates for quality of care on behalf of patients and the organizationDemonstrates appropriate use of health systems resourcesPractical-Based Learning and Improvements:Uses scientific evidence and methods to investigate, evaluate and improve patient careDemonstrates acceptable use of organizations best practice alerts, qualityimprovement initiatives, use of clinical registries, core measures compliance, and use of EBM* Demonstrates knowledge of CQI activities at IFHTeaching and Training:* Precepts residents, medical students, and other health professional trainees as appropriate* Participation in Residency Faculty Meetings as appropriateB.
