This position is located on the Southern Coast, with a catchment area of over 320,000. The physician would be scheduled in 1-week blocks with the following week off. They are expected to share some on-call duty. There is occasional OB coverage needed, including epidurals and C-sections. The role provides leadership and support to the Anesthesia Department team consisting of Physicians and CRNAs. CRNAs practice independently. The group is experienced and collaborative, with 7 ORs, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, and a nearby surgery center. Cases include all types except for heads and hearts, focusing on healthy pediatric patients. Procedures include all types of blocks, along with pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op management. Paid call is shared equitably, with the benefit of a post-call day off. The facility offers quality-focused partnerships and internal medicine and surgery residency programs. It provides a full scope of services, including cardiology, radiology, cancer care, emergency care, surgical care, critical care, a birthing center, inpatient psychiatry, wound care, hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, and home health. The hospital has Chest Pain Center Accreditation and a Stroke Silver Award. The environment offers state-of-the-art equipment and investment in new technologies, using Epic's electronic health record system.
