Physician Peer Review Coordinator

Overview:

Prepare, log, and coordinate comprehensive medical record reviews in accordance with Medical Staff policies. Facilitate timely review, case action(s) and completion of reviews in collaboration with Medical Staff Department Chairs and/or their designees, Committees, and Administration. Assist in preparation of quality review meetings for multiple Medical Staff committees

Qualifications:

Education:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) or other health-related field required.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

Experience:

Four years of experience in an acute general hospital setting preferred, two years required.

Experience in the use of electronic health record systems (i.e., PowerChart and Touchworks) preferred.

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel) Outlook and Adobe. In addition, data entry and report writing skills preferred.

Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Possess excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Possess the ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
