Job Summary: The Stocking/Inventory Control Associate is responsible for ensuring that the store shelves are well-stocked, organized, and presented to provide a positive shopping experience for customers. This role includes managing inventory levels, conducting stock audits, and collaborating with team members to maintain efficient store operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise in a timely manner, ensuring products are fronted and faced for optimal presentation.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to track stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing shipments, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage areas and sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members to identify low stock items and communicate reorder needs to management.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in locating products and answering inquiries.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe shopping environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or grocery store stocking is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
