Picker and Packer (Jeffersonville IN)Weekly PayJob DescriptionAs a Picker and Packer, you will work in the warehouse on your feet, using an RF gun to locate and pick products to a pallet or an overpack case. You will move inventory from drop zones using a walkie-rider or pallet jack and de-stage products into Pick Mod. Various warehouse/pick activities are done by utilizing the WMS through either radio frequency (RF) equipment, pick to light technologies, or computer-based workstations. You may work in various departments such as Receiving, Case Pick Modules, Shipping, Returns, DEA, Freezer, and Refrigerated space.ResponsibilitiesPick products to a pallet or overpack case using an RF gun.Move inventory from drop zones using a walkie-rider or pallet jack.De-stage products into Pick Mod using WMS through RF equipment, pick to light technologies, or computer-based workstations.Work in various departments including Receiving, Case Pick Modules, Shipping, Returns, DEA, Freezer, and Refrigerated space.Retrieve replenishments from drop zones and deliver to pick modules using a pallet jack.Operate a powered stretch-wrap machine.Build pallets and break pallets down as needed.Verify inventory levels in locations by performing cycle counts.Perform assorted WMS tasks such as receiving incoming materials, counting, sorting, and verification of item numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, and data entering.Use a pallet jack and may be trained to use a walkie-rider.Perform other assigned tasks as directed by management.Focus on quality and accuracy as part of the company-wide goal: Quality First.Display values of Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (CHART).Essential Skills1+ years of picking experience.Knowledge of RF scanner and how they operate.Basic math and counting skills.Basic computer and calculator skills.Experience with inventory, forklift, material handling, pallet jack, labeling, and warehouse inventory.Experience in shipping and receiving, and unloading.Additional Skills & QualificationsAttention to detail.Ability to learn from mistakes.Commitment to quality over quota/quantity.Ability to show they care.Why Work Here?You will work in a VERY clean, climate-controlled environment maintained at 71 degrees year-round. The leadership team is friendly, and overtime on weekends is voluntary. Full-time benefits start on the first day of permanent employment, including life, medical, dental, vision, EAP, paid holidays, 2 weeks PTO (accrued), and 4 sick days.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is very clean and not very loud. It is climate-controlled at 71 degrees year-round, with breaks including 2 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. The pay period runs from Sunday to Saturday. Some jobs may require work in refrigerated conditions, but you can wear a jacket as long as it does not have a hood and is not oversized.
