The Picking Room Operator will be directly responsible for the operation of Scalders and Pickers. Secondary responsibility will be to back up CAS Operator with offal equipment monitoring including gut and feather auger, gut and feather tumblers, feather conveyor, and denaturant. The Operator will be responsible for auditing the above mentioned equipment and making adjustments to correct issues seen and communicating with the control room. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Walk the line as birds arrive at blood tank ensuring that all machines from blood tank to last picker have proper infeed. Audit Scalders to determine effectiveness of equipment and make adjustments to correct discrepancies. Audit Wing Scalder to determine effectiveness of equipment and make adjustments to correct discrepancies. Audit Pickers to determine effectiveness of equipment and make adjustments to correct discrepancies. Control Scalder Blowers at shut down. Control water during production and breaks.
