As a Sterilization Tech, you will be providing important clinical support to the practice, such as: Holds primary responsibility for sterilization of and otherwise preparing instruments used by clinical staff, including operating all lab equipment for this purpose, sorting instruments, and picking up and delivering instruments from/to operatories. Maintains all laboratories including routine maintenance of all equipment, stocking with necessary supplies, cleaning, and record keeping related to lab and equipment maintenance. Inputs routine practice data into dental software, including perio charts, FMX, Pans and nitrous Holds primary responsibility for checking in and stocking shelves with supplies. Delivers, picks up and checks in lab cases and delivers needed supplies to operatories; monitors gas cylinders and places orders as needed. Assists clinical staff in delivering direct services to patients on an as needed basis, including, but not limited to: taking X-rays, seating and triaging patient with reports to dentist and/or assistant; prepping patient; and assisting dentists and hygienists as needed. Monitors patient schedules to assess needs for assistance. Maintains primary responsibility for pulling and refiling patient charts.
