Their work involves ensuring the integrity of pipelines and piping systems.Standard DutiesFamiliarity with various welding processes, including Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).Repairing industrial equipment, removing, and replacing pipe and fabricating pipe components.Identifying the source of problems, making repairs, replacing parts, and reassembling systems.Installing and fabricating pipelines using brazing, soldering, and welding techniques.Inspecting installed pipelines and systems for potential defects.Managing materials, supplies, and welding equipment.Installing and repairing gas pressure regulators and related devices.Cleaning and modifying pipe units, fittings, and systems.RequirementsEducation: Candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent.
