We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.We are looking to hire several Pipefitter Apprentices to join our self-perform team for ongoing work on Camp Lejeune, NC. As an Apprentice at RQ, you will get the unique opportunity to advance your career by learning the Pipefitting trade, while working alongside Pipefitting Journey-workers. You will participate in both classroom, and on the job training to ultimately have a long-term career as a Journey-worker Pipefitter.All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the Camp Lejeune, NC military base. Note: This is an 8000 hour, 4 year training program which involves both classroom instruction and on the job training to learn the Pipefitting trade. During the program, Apprentice will be responsible for assisting Journey-worker and Foreman level pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Requirements for this position include:High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position.Courses in construction management, trade school, etc. preferred but not required. Work in the construction industry is preferred. Field or trade work experience with pipefitting systems highly desirable.CPR, First Aid, OSHA-30, EM-385. Training can be provided.
