Key Responsibilities
  • This is an entry level role where the Pipefitter Trainee will assist Foreman and Journeymen in the layout, assembly, and the installation of accessories and equipment.
  • Sorting out material, assembling and sealing ductwork on the floor.
  • Assist installation crews as a ground man which would entail cranking the winch on the duct lift.
  • Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced trade worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of journeyman's tools and equipment when necessary.
  • Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced tradesperson.
Qualifications
  • Technical Trade School completion or undergoing Apprentice Program preferred.
  • GED or High School graduate required.
  • Must have a Valid Drivers License.
  • Must be able to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties which may often change.
  • Must be able to evaluate information and work using measurable standards.
  • Must be willing to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
  • Drug test, background check and a clean driving record are pre-employment requirements.
  • Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; stand for long periods of time.
