Our clients in the municipal, residential and industrial markets choose to do business with IWS for the unparalleled service and speed that make our projects headache-free.We're looking for an reliable and hard working pipelayer who has experience installing exterior yard pipe and interior process pipe.Responsibilities include:
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by threading joints and assembling flanged joints.
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods.
- Plan pipe system layout and installation according to specifications and approved pipe drawings.
- Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
- High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
- 3+ years of construction experience
- Construction experience with water/wastewater treatment plants strongly preferred.
- Experience working with exterior yard pipe and interior process pipe
- Knowledge of the assembly of PVC, DIP pipe underground and inside the building
- Experience operating a demo saw
- Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements and how they apply to industrial construction projects.
