3D Piping Designer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with 3D piping design platforms, isometric extraction programs and a thorough understanding of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality piping designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop comprehensive piping designs, utilize 3D piping design platforms and 3D isometric extraction programs.
- Apply extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes to create piping layouts and designs.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Support project deliverables, including design documentation and quality assurance checks.
- Maintaining safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards throughout the design process.
Basic Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements
- Grade 25: AA/AS/Certificate with 8 years of related design experience OR 12 years of related design experience.
- Grade 26: AA/AS/Certificate with 11 years of related design experience OR 15 years of related design experience.
General Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience with a 3D piping design platform and 3D isometric extraction program.
- Extensive knowledge and application of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes.
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if required at the construction site), and background check, including employment and education verification.
- Eligibility to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford Site, even if teleworking.
- Authorization to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Bentley PlantSpace Design Series or other Bentley 3D modeling applications.
- Previous experience working on Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Energy (DOE) projects.
