Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Qatar Energy, has the vision to become the premier LNG export company in North America. In order to achieve those goals, we are bringing together a diverse team of experienced and talented professionals. Headquartered in Downtown Houston, the Golden Pass LNG organization expects to double in size over the next several years as we complete the project, commence natural gas trading activities, and ramp up towards full LNG production. Once full operations commence, Golden Pass LNG will become the second largest consumer of natural gas in the US and produce more than 200 cargos of LNG per annum.

The Pipeline Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance duties as required for maintaining a safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of an LNG facility. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is a liaison with internal and external parties and will interface directly with Operations Supervision, Managers, Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Operators, Contractors and Vendors. While upholding and ensuring compliance with HSE and compliance standards for performance and behavior.

Essential Duties / Functions

* Troubleshoot, inspect for detection of irregularities and malfunctions, and perform repairs on various stationary and rotating machinery and equipment such as positive displacement screw compressors, gear pumps, extruders, etc.

* Perform routine regular maintenance duties and routine preventative maintenance inspections and services

* Assembly and disassembly of critical rotating and reciprocating machinery according to layout plans using hand and power tools.

* Operate hoisting and lifting devices and/or contribute to lifting plan, job method statements and JHA development for critical activities.

* Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

* Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

* Carry out fault-finding and repair maintenance on Vendor Package Unity to rectify unit faults.

* Interpret and maintain machine condition monitoring systems

* Perform maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Maintain notification and work orders, initiate material reservation, technical report and time confirmation in computerized maintenance management system.

* Actively participate in all aspects of maintenance activities and provide input in meetings, planning, and strategy development and reviews.

* Complete LOTO procedure on equipment to assure equipment is inoperable and safe to work on.

* Troubleshoot and Assist Vendor Contractor on Gas Turbines and Compressors

* Conduct work group/safety toolbox briefings.

Minimum education required of the position.

* High School Diploma or GED

* Bachelor or Associate degree or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position.

* 5+ years of experience in petroleum or chemical manufacturing facility, pipeline, or an LNG facility is preferred.

* Must have a good basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic theory and application and be able to learn to use manuals and other resources to apply that knowledge in requirements of the job.

* Working knowledge of plant installations and specifications with experience in accepted industry procedures, safety and environmental policies.

* Experience with cryogenic refrigeration, gas processing, and/or steam preferred.

* Experience with Turbo Machinery, Large reciprocal compression, and large centrifugal compression equipment preferred.
