The OpportunitySouth Bow Corporation is seeking a multi-skilled Pipeline Technician for our locations in South Dakota and North Dakota. This entry-level position is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in the Liquids Pipeline industry.The role will involve supporting the operation and maintenance of our liquids pipeline and associated facilities. We are looking for an individual wants to have a career in excavation management, line locating, one-call ticketing, and pump station maintenance. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, and highly organized. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.We have multiple reporting locations available for this role, and the successful candidate can choose the one that best fits their needs. The selected candidate will be required to live within a reasonable distance from their chosen reporting location.Available Reporting Locations: Ludden Pump Station: 10075 119th Ave SE, Brampton, ND 58017 Ferney Pump Station: 41461 144th St, Andover, SD 57422 Carpenter Pump Station: 19051 415th Ave, Carpenter, SD 57322 Roswell Pump Station: 42592 236th St, Howard, SD 57349What You'll Do: Monitor and protect right-of-way (ROW) maintenance activities. Manage one-call tickets, perform line locating, and complete the necessary documentation. Oversee and manage pipeline or utility crossings, coordinating all work around facilities with landowners, contractors, and customers. Review, investigate, and close out items from aerial patrols as part of our Damage Prevention programs. Patrol pipeline right-of-way and assist with leak surveys. Respond to unauthorized ROW activities. Support Inline Inspection Tool (pigging) operations. Perform pipeline maintenance activities, including clearing and inspecting right-of-way and assisting with mainline valve tie-ins. Perform system flooding and venting for new assets and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain large and small diameter valves, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment. Complete work orders, enter data into job plans, and create new work orders in SAP/BlueWorx (Microsoft Dynamics 360). Maintain equipment documentation, such as blueprints, schematics, line diagrams, and technical manuals, and serve as a technical resource. Complete required Department of Transportation (DOT) and company documentation. Operate company trucks and equipment. Participate in PHMSA and regulatory inspections. Be available for on-call rotation.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to obtain South Bow DOT driver status. Successful completion of a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing. Willingness to be on-call 24/7 and work extended days or weeks for emergency response. Ability to obtain operator qualifications for various tasks. Willingness to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training, including overnight stays. Capability to work in adverse weather conditions, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in confined spaces.Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Experience with line locating. Mechanical or electrical experience.
