Essential Functions:
- Understands and is able to properly use and/or edit CNC programs for machine plant.
- Assists with troubleshooting CNC equipment and programs.
- Assists with maintaining process control and preventive maintenance (PM) schedule.
- Able to use current records to document daily program or maintenance changes/improvements.
- Be able to read CMM data and use to make quality judgements or to confirm part quality after repairs.
- Have knowledge of tooling and be able to change out several different standard types of tooling.
- Be able to perform basic CNC and fixture repair. Also work closely with Maintenance Department as required.
- Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities.
- Performs special projects and duties as assigned.
Marginal Functions:
Assists tool Technicians in optimizing tooling and CNC equipment. Assists Production Supervisors and Engineers in various technical training. Prepares special reports as needed. Minimum Qualifications:
Have general mechanical aptitude and good problem solving skills. Have machining background and at least a minimum of 1 year experience as set-up person in machining environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
