May provide the necessary authorization for approved projects. Develops and maintains a current master schedule of all maintenance and renovation projects. Maintains close contact with all concerned parties regarding changes and scheduling, coordinates and monitors all work in progress.* Assigns priorities, plans and schedules work with Trade/Maintenance Supervisors and/or outside contractors and vendors.* May maintain fiscal accountability of approved funds.* May provide necessary computer data base input and utilize control reports to identify and investigate significant variations in schedules, reviewing them with designated authorities.* Keeps informed regarding new methods and procedures in the construction field, new products and equipment.* May serve on, or participate in committees.* Assures that all work performed on behalf of the department complies with all University, federal, state and local safety regulations.
