Job Description:
Position Summary:The Coordinator/ Planner supports the team through conducting walkdowns, doing scheduling, and other duties as assigned.Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions to Include, But Not Limited To:The following items are expected to be completed on a regular basis to fulfill the requirements of the above-mentioned position:

  • Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by Kakivik Asset Management while on shift, on call or attending training

  • Maintain 100% Safety Standards and Accountability in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
    • Compliance with required HSE Training
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of Kakivik Asset Management
    • Document and record any injury or near-miss incident that may occur while you are working
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walk downs and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs (STEP BACK)
  • Be a team player, striving for an interdependent, successful and effective approach to meeting our vision, mission and business objectives:
  • Communicate daily status of current projects to Managers to ensure all projects are timely and within company standards
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, training, exercises and drills.
  • Assist others on special project needs, when appropriate
  • Builds field execution workbooks for field crews, ensuring that the workbooks contain (at minimum) GIS imaging of location, walk down sheet, lift form, if applicable, and a copy of the work scope in total.
  • Will ensure work scopes are fully defined, and proper resources and materials are in place to accomplish goals.
  • Perform job walk-downs with the appropriate personnel to develop a detailed execution plan.
  • Complete job walk-downs and scope packages for crews to ensure the safe and scheduled completion of the work:
  • Demonstrate support of company and client environmental management system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Primavera with level 4 scheduling capability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, CMMS work order system, MS Access and MS Project, and MOS database. Ability to prepare reports and correspondence as required.
  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA codes and their applications.
  • Ability to relate to and work with personnel at all levels of an organization required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and competing demands simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong materials background.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years' experience as a field coordinator, planner or scheduler
Working Conditions:
  • Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site.
