Job SummaryThe Planner/Scheduler will coordinate the preventive and predictive maintenance program. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prioritize and plan routine / non-routine maintenance work and projects throughout the Plant, associated grounds, and other properties
- Requisition material and establish sequential delivery dates to departments, according to Work Order priorities and material availability
- Revise schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability/capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment
- Occasionally participate in and may lead A3/RIE events and Lean/TPM
- Review Work Requests for content, feasibility, justification, and agreement between affected areas
- Maintains equipment documentation and history information
- Conducts periodic reviews of equipment and history
- Research technical manuals for recommended spare parts and p.m. development
- Performs detailed cost justification, and cost-benefit analysis
- Meet with contractors to acquire bids or proposals, research equipment/parts and/or explain expectations of business agreements
- Schedule and supervise outside contractors
Required Qualifications- Two or more years of experience coordinating maintenance activities in a large-scale industrial plant environment or Military equivalent experience
- Two or more years' experience in planning, predictive, and preventive maintenance with a history of active planning, job estimation, analysis of trends, predicting future rates, and developing preventive measures.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
- Experience performing cost justification
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance systems (Maximo, iWorks)
- Proven ability to work with others in a team setting and promote a positive work atmosphere
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and exhibit professional conduct
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and consider safety in daily planning activities
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with automation and electrical control systems
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of forklifts, pumps, boiler operations, air compressors and associated air supply systems
- Have current State Boiler License
- Knowledge of machine shop/fabrication processes and materials
- Knowledge of performance numbers, and KPIs and assists in improvement efforts. i.e. Lean manufacturing knowledge (TPM, PPS, RIE)
- Working knowledge of DBWorks or similar CAD software
