Requisition or return materials from/to warehouse, as requiredAccurately maintain and control replenishing of assembly line materials through simulations, min/max, putaways, ordering, and pulling kits based on sales orders and production scheduleOrganize bins and work centers efficiently (sticker placement, consistent labeling, bin size and utilization of floor space)Initiate stock transfers to maintain record accuracyApply damaged parts procedure, as neededRelieve inventory levels using mass issue screens (assigning part to sales order number)Prepare for and participate in physical inventoryUtilize advanced planning tools to facilitate specialty chassis material requisitionsDiagnose transaction errorsApply non-usable inventory tag procedureProcess all inbound and outbound shipments including sorting, logging, delivering, packing, shipping, etceteraAudit each shipment prior to packing to ensure the goods match the order along with packing and labeling product based on established standardsPrepare shipping and receiving documentation and maintain orderly files of all documentationInspect all incoming freight for damage; follow-up with supervisor / Assistant Planner to resolve any damaged freight issuesEfficiently put away material in warehouse location using adequate space, consolidation, and inventory accuracyPick and deliver parts in a timely, efficient, and appropriately packaged mannerResponsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through correct stock transfers and weekly cycle countsCommunicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issuesMaintain a clean and safe work areaPerforms all required administrative tasks including preparing required reports and communicationMaintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completion of daily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipmentWhat you need to be successful:HS Diploma or GED requiredFork truck/stand up license required (CDLpreferred)Excellent attendancePositive attitudeStrong and consistent attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to stay on taskTeam orientedMust be familiar with receiving, shipping, and warehousepractices and handling methodsPossess a CDL, or be willing to obtainPossess a valid fork truck/stand up licenseExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analyticalskillsBasic computer skills, including working knowledge ofAS/400 and Bar Code scanner systems for inventory control applications, arerequiredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteBe willing to learn and rotate within all areas and plants Able to embrace change Able to lift and move 50pounds without assistanceAble to climb a mobile stairladder to a height of at least 20 feetAble to work overtime onshort noticeWhy The Shyft Group?We believe that when our people thrive personally and professionally, our business thrives.
