The Construction Clerk is based in Jamesville, NY and reports directly to the Sr. Construction Manager.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Provide administrative support for Construction Management and Field Supervisors.
- Coordinate with construction crews to ensure PPE is available to all employees.
- Track equipment utilization
- Code and process vendor invoices.
- Complete payroll & timesheets for up to 10 employees weekly.
- Cross Train for the many duties of the Construction Administration Office.
- Coordinate with the shop mechanics to complete preventative maintenance orders, assist with parts orders, and purchase orders.
- Learn and put into practice safe working practices and compliance with all policies and regulations; as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of JDE business system is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 yr. degree preferred
- Knowledge of NYS construction prevailing wage system and NYS DOL construction criteria.
- Solid organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
