Job Title: Plant Controller Department: Finance Reports to: VP of Finance Location: Hubbard, TX (hybrid potential, depending on location) The Plant Controller is a business partner with the plant management. They are responsible for the financial activities at the plant and are accountable for the plant-level responsibilities. Essential Functions Include: Responsible for the financial activities at the plant and accountable for the plant-level responsibilities, including supporting additional plant(s). Will support both plant and corporate functions. Supervise and motivate staff, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable The focus will be on plant level reporting and activities, while supporting the VP of Finance with key higher level corporate needs. Manage the plants month-end close procedures, ensuring their completion timely and accurately. Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses. 1099 filing, various government agencies filing, sales tax, property tax, exercise tax, and others. Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic financial forecasting. Support the VP of Finance in coordinating with external accountants to complete annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation. Partner with VP of Finance, Controller, CFO, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to support key business decisions. Drive process improvements. Other tasks assigned as needed. Qualifications Include: B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance 5 years of related experience 2 years of supervisory experience preferred Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations: Consistent and reliable attendance Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
