Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing financial leadership, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities at the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Cost Control: Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct regular variance analysis between budgeted and actual performance, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial reports to plant management and corporate finance, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to support financial decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and responses.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with [specific software, if applicable].
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
