Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions for the Baltimore facility, including establishing and maintaining the company's accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives. Serves as advisor to site leader by clearly communicating financial results and accurately analyzing financial information. Provides financial leadership by developing and achieving financial targets.

Accounting and Finance staff
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Acts as a member of the leadership team for the Baltimore site.
Supervise the accounting staff and daily activities, to include working capital management, accounts payable & receivable, corporate reporting, operations financial tracking, etc.
Prepare and interpret the operating and financial reports for the key management personnel and the parent company.
Maintain a company-wide expense and cost control program coordinated with the budgetary control system.
Provide comprehensive operating and financial analyses covering all contracts and current business operations in compliance with acceptable Government contracts procedures. Also is the lead person and point of contact for U.S. Government/DCAA audits and forward pricing data.
Interface with Program Management to provide financial analysis on program performance.
Works with business, functional, and technical staff to support cost estimate development, customer proposals, negotiations, and various audits.
Coordinates portions of the monthly/quarterly/year-end close process.
Prepares quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for the site.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business desired from a four-year college or university.
5+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
Defense contracting experience.
Experience in project/cost accounting.
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred from four-year college or university
10+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting
Experience in engineering design and manufacturing environment.
Experience with Profix and/or Made-2-Manage
Computer Skills:Basic PC knowledge
Excellent MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint skills
Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
The work site is an industrial manufacturing operation and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in some aspects of the role.
Work usually performed in air-conditioned office environment.
