About Our Client Our client is a global food manufacturing company that has experienced high growth.
Job Description - Performs the monthly closing process which includes preparing journal entries and reports.
- Evaluates and updates inventory reserves.
- Analyzes monthly plant cost center spend detail.
- Analyzes spare parts spending and related inventory.
- Compiles plant production and labor stats.
- Provides cost related information for new product and capital spend projects.
- Provides guidance on proper classification of spending, capital versus expense.
- Updates Bill of Materials and Routings when necessary.
- Creates/maintains Standard Costs for plant products.
- Completes annual unit standard cost update including development of direct labor, variable overhead and tech structure rates.
- Works with plant and warehouse personnel to identify cost saving initiatives and areas for improvement.
- Supports plant manager in the preparation of labor, variable overhead and tech structure budgets.
- Implements and improves internal controls necessary to safeguard plant assets and accurately report results of operations.

The Successful Applicant - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing standard cost and accounting systems
