Location: Williamsburg,VA, USA
Printpack has an immediate opening for a Plant Controller located at our converting plant in Williamsburg, VA. This position is responsible for leading Plant Finance/Accounting activities at both the Williamsburg plant and Newport News plant and reports to the Finance Director.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* 7 to 10 years of job-related work experience
Preferred Experience & Skills:
* Public Accounting (Audit) / Manufacturing background
* Experience working with large ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus
* Solid cost accounting experience with extensive/complex product lines
* CPA, MBA, MACC - all a plus
* Proven track record of leading and influencing others
Key Responsibilities:
* This position requires working onsite in the Williamsburg facility.
* Proactively manage plant accounting functions, including oversight of accounting personnel, inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, reporting/analysis, and forecasting/budgeting
* Protect plant assets through the development and monitoring of internal controls
* Oversee the development and maintenance of inventory and operational performance standards
* Manage the monthly financial closing process, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of variances vs. forecast, standard, and budget
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories, and customer/product profitability reporting
* Provide financial analysis to support business decisions regarding investments in capital equipment and plant process improvements
* Exhibit strong working knowledge of financial concepts, operational systems, and analytical tools
* Demonstrate strong leadership presence in production and business decision-making, along with the ability to positively influence and interpret operational results
* Effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions of the organization
