Job Title: Plant ControllerJob Description
We are seeking a Plant Controller to oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory/Cost Accounting, and Fixed Assets. This role involves generating periodic reporting packages, managing capital expenditure projects, ensuring accurate weekly cash forecasts, and maintaining third-party relationships. The Plant Controller will support various departments with financial analysis and reporting, internal controls, and budgeting while also handling HR responsibilities.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting, and Fixed Assets.
+ Generate weekly, monthly, and other periodic reporting packages for the Leadership Team, providing analytics, summaries, and bridges on variances and period activity.
+ Track and communicate capital expenditure projects.
+ Manage AP/AR analyst to ensure accurate weekly cash forecasts.
+ Manage third-party relationships for annual financial statement audits, tax returns, banking, insurance, PEO, etc.
+ Support Operations and Sales departments with quarterly inventory costing and customer pricing.
+ Assist other departments and other plant controllers with budgeting, month-end closing, and financial analysis and reporting.
+ Monitor and implement internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
+ Oversee the recruiting and onboarding process for all employees.
+ Process bi-weekly payroll for the company.
+ Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement, and retention.
+ Investigate employee complaints and/or concerns in accordance with company policy and State/Local/Federal law, and recommend corrective actions or resolutions to management.
+ Oversee quarterly and annual performance review processes.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
+ 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a small to midsize manufacturing company
+ Highly computer literate with data mining and ERP systems
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, and analytical skills
+ Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office capabilities
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with PLEX or SAP ERP Software is a plus
+ Experience with payroll and other HR functions is preferred
Work Environment
This role will be onsite initially, with the ability to work remotely up to 50% of the time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00
onsite at first, ability to work remote 50% of the time. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance5 plus years of experience. Would look at someone more tenured that was very content in a role like this as wellaccounting experience for within a manufacturing company ( small to midsize company's only)
