LHH Recruitment is seeking an experienced Controller to join our client's team in Erie County, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting. This role is critical in overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct cost accounting and analysis to support manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Masters, CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a controller position.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
