This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Plant Coordinator is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable program.The Plant Coordinator is expected to live the Purpose and Values of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and will go beyond the call of duty.Primary Responsibilities of the Plant Coordinator
- Receives calls from Farmers and Ranchers to schedule cattle to be received and processed in the facility.
- Responsible for taking and transcribing minutes of staff and other meetings within the department as directed.
- Responsible for plants and retail store finish goods inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for maintaining the department's centralized files, including program files for numerous projects in accordance with Division protocol, policy, and procedure.
- Coordinates all supply and packaging purchases at the plant with purchase orders and check requests.
- Performs reporting for the management team on goals and performance throughout the year.
- Organizes and implements the scheduling of slaughter appointments from PRF and custom customers.
- Keeps budget balances on expenses, supplies and labor.
- Participates in Division meetings and administrative meetings as needed.
- Works independently as required but maintains close communication with supervisor to ensure goals and objectives of the plant are met.
- Works closely with both accounting departments to keep an accurate account of all billing that occur within the plant.
- Works in conjunction with the PRF Coordinator to participate in meetings, perform, maintain, and draft necessary reporting documents regarding department operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate person.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
Education/License/Certification and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in a confidential office setting.
- Must have a t least two (2) years of working with schedules and financial reports.
Skills Required
- Adept a multi-tasking, have unquestionable integrity, with uncompromising commitment to quality.
- Skilled in the operation of standard office machinery including a ten-key, copier, facsimile, and other similar equipment.
- Must have working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a windows environment with various software programs such as Word, Excel. Must successfully pass the required pre-employment computer skills exam.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and writing composition. Must successfully pass applicable knowledge, skills,and abilities exam.
- Must be well organized and possesses attention to details.
- Skilled and mature in making valid judgements, demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Able to work well independently and to relate effectively with the public.
- Ability to work in a high performance, fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, and twist for an extended period as well as climb, lift, hold and move objects weighing
