Plant CustodianDepartment: Human Resources Employment Type: Full Time Location: Oakdale, LA Reporting To: Human Resources Manager Description The primary responsibility of a custodian is to maintain the facility's cleanliness and keep supplies stocked in the necessary areas of the mill.
- Performing custodial duties as assigned, such as mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting various surfaces, and removing trash.
- Maintaining meeting rooms, restrooms, and public areas.
- Ensure all equipment and fixtures (kitchen equipment, lighting fixtures, fountains) are clean and in working order.
- Responding appropriately and promptly to service and/or supply requests received from supervisory or office staff.
- Identify and report if the equipment is not functioning properly.
- Assisting in arranging rooms for meetings/functions.
- Alert Purchasing when supplies are needed.
- Maintaining equipment and/or janitor's closet in an orderly manner that facilitates easy access to supplies and equipment.
Job Qualifications A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position. Required skills, experience, and/or education:
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of experience working in an office environment
- Capable of running appropriate cleaning equipment, including floor buffer
- Physically capable of rearranging training room and kitchen furniture
- Work independently as well as value being a team
