JOB SUMMARY Performs corrective and preventative maintenance, operates assigned Hospital machinery and equipment, tests Hospital equipment and systems and constructs and modifies Hospital equipment and systems as directed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School graduate or equivalent Experience: Two (2) years previous experience working with facility systems. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: 2-Year Technical or Trade School OR sufficient experience of a related nature in lieu of degree Experience: Previous course work or experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Manual dexterity and mobility. # READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures. SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10#s and 100#s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
