They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Engineering Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engineering operations in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION NEAR BOSTON, MA. RELOCATION FOR THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL. MUST COME FROM FOOD OR BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING TO BE CONSIDERED!!!!!! Position Overview: The Plant Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the engineering function within the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient operations, maximizing productivity, and supporting the maintenance and optimization of plant equipment. This individual will lead a team of engineers and technicians while implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and manage capital projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the plant's engineering team, including engineers and maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize plant uptime.
- Oversee capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor plant performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and equipment purchases, including negotiating contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, and production) to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on operational excellence and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- 7+ years of experience in plant engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing management within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects.
- Excellent knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, GMP, and HACCP standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $155,000 - $175,000 annually.
