Job Description:
As a Plant Engineering Systems Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Responsibilities:
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Maintaining, repairing, and protecting assets in the 3M Brownwood facility
* Working with engineering and production personnel during troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, machining, welding and repair of plant utility and process equipment
* Performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment such as drives, motors, pumps, overhead hoists, boilers, compressors, rotary equipment, air handling equipment, and plant process/support equipment.
* Supporting the plant's web handling and gauging equipment including Rockwell drives, production HMI software, motors and communications between drives and PLCs
* PLC and HMI programming
* Troubleshooting and upgrading existing control systems
Your Skills and Expertise:

* Possess a two (2) year minimum technical degree or diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR five (5-7) years of skilled craft related work experience through a certified apprenticeship or company sponsored training program in an industrial private, public, government or military environment.
* Microsoft Office 365
* Advanced troubleshooting and repair experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
* High level of proficiency working with electro-mechanical equipment such as pumps, AC/DC motors, motor drives, Rockwell PLC and HMI troubleshooting and programming, etc.
* Advanced troubleshooting and repair experience with electronic equipment, circuit boards, and components
Desired:
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Experience in industrial lasers
* Demonstrated strong problem-solving and computer skills.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and good rapport with engineers, supervisors, and operators.
* This position may require working overtime, working weekends, and working holidays, as needed. This position is on a slow rotating shift.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $38.37, with a potential to reach $40.23.
