Overview

The Plant Floater is responsible for a wide variety of job duties within the Jeffersonville Plant including shipping/receiving, housekeeping, packaging, etc.

Responsibilities

* Provide and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and drivers.

* Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes

* Safely and efficiently operate fork trucks

* Loading/unloading coils

* Unloading zinc and safely placing zinc into storage

* Support the galv line packager when running frequent splits and helping to keep supplies available

* The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn a variety of job tasks and multi-task during the day while providing assistance to other employees and at the same time completing their own job assignments.

Qualifications

* A strong desire and ability to work safely

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Self-directed, well organized, and motivated

* Must be driven to maintain a high level of housekeeping

* Must be detail oriented and be able to complete work accurately

* Must be willing to train on and learn other jobs in the plant

* Must represent the company well to customer and contract drivers.
