Job Title: Plant Human Resources Manager Department Name: Human ResourcesReports to (title): Chief HR Officer - dotted line to General Manager of working locationJob Summary: The Plant HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR related functions in their location/s. The Plant HR Manager will support facility leadership team in the management of the following functions:
- Recruiting and Retention
- Employee Relations
- HR Administration
- Payroll and Time Recording
- Benefits and Compensation
- Training and Development
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages the recruitment process for their locations with the assistance of Corporate HR.
- Assists in scheduling, conducting interviews and working with staffing agencies as needed.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all staff agency bills and submitting for payment.
- Orientates and assists all new hires with the onboarding process and confirms all new hires are properly set-up in the Paylocity system.
- Reviews and processes all I-9 Re-Verifications
- Maintains integrity of HRIS system
- Schedules all new hire training through Paylocity and GotSafety and updates systems with terminations.
- Reviews weekly timecards for accuracy and submits to Payroll for processing.
- Distributes all new hire benefit packages per Corporate HR's instructions or as needed.
- Submits all benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes to corporate HR in a timely manner.
- Serves as contact person to address employee questions and/or issues relating to HR.
- Assists with the completion and recordkeeping of all employee leaves, workers compensation and disability paperwork along with corporate HR.
- Coordinates leave requests, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Short- and Long-Term disability, PFL requests and maintains record-keeping and leave tracking as appropriate along with Corporate HR
- Manages employee relation issues along with General Manager and Corporate HR
- Performs all exit interviews for their locations.
- Submits all employee garnishments to corporate HR for processing.
- Manages new hire and safety training for their locations with the assistance of Corporate HR and the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager.
- Maintains all employee records - assuring they are completed accurately, filed, retained and/or destroyed according to all federal, state, and local laws. This includes but is not limited to I-9's, Section 195 notices, etc.
- Must maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and company information.
- General filing and administrative duties
- Ensure compliance with all local and state posting requirements.
- Assists and collaborates closely with General Manager and/or Plant manager and supervisors with issues and special projects requested for Operations.
- Assists CHRO and Corporate HR Manager as needed with issues, reports, and special projects.
- Assists in planning and running employee appreciation events.
RequirementsQualifications:
- High School diploma
- College degree preferred.
- 6 - 8 years' HR experience
- Prior supervisory and/or management experience
- Experience with Paylocity preferred.
- SHRM and/or HRCI certification preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
