Job Description: Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for a chemical company in Kalama, Washington. The person in this position will be doing pump troubleshooting, machinery/equipment repairs, and pipe fitting work in a heavy industrial facility.ÂPay: $35.05-$39.40/hrÂPlant Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:Performing preventative maintenance checks and corrective maintenance replacement on all equipment within a petrochemical plant. Including but not limited to drive systems, chains, belts, pulleys, sheaves, bearings, rollers, gearboxes, pumps, motors, piping flanges, valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, pressure safety valves, tanks, and more.Performing safely and efficiently under extreme conditions including handling toxic chemicals, entering confined spaces, and working from great heights.RiggingPipefittingOccasional weldingPerforming scaffolding activitiesInstalling flanges, valves, and pipe blindingVarious other maintenance mechanic duties as assigned.ÂPlant Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:4+ years of Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright experience, preferably in a petrochemical plant environmentCommon knowledge of rigging, pipefitting, and scaffolding activitiesMust have experience troubleshooting and repairing pumpsPreference for candidates that have experience laser aligning pumpsKnowledge of shop mathForklift OperationAbility to follow plant safety guidelinesAble to interpret schematics and read blueprintsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC)Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check (to TWIC standards)Must be willing to work alternate shift schedules for projects/shutdownsÂPlant Maintenance Mechanic Compensation:$35.50-$39.40/hourMedical/Dental/VisionExcellent union benefits!Paid Holidays and PTO, including your Birthday off!401(K) with matchExpected Travel Time: None
